Just throwing an idea for a future topic into the pot—I’ve curious of how WLWs fare in their respective workplaces/professions. I’m a lawyer and at one point was told that being openly gay would “ruin my career,” but I’ve (so far) had only pleasant experiences with colleagues when discussing same-sex partners or gay-adjacent subjects. At least where I live (Austin), there’s a small & somewhat active LGBT lawyer group, which feels comforting. Lots of nuances when it comes to workplace gayness, though, and I’m sure it varies based on place and profession—would love to learn more.
ps LOVE your content—thanks for keeping me so up-to-date on all things sapphic!!
That's a super interesting idea – I've never really worked in a proper "workplace," so that's definitely something I would love to learn more about. Thanks for reading!
