Thanks. I love learning about 'new' movies. From what I know, 'Handmaiden', 'Portrait of a Lady on Fire' and 'Aimee & Jaguar' are favourites. I say that in the context of movies and not just the theme. 'Thelma' was great too, and the director absolutely made a classic with 'Worst Person in the World'.

Theme wise, I add 'Kissing Jessica Stein', 'Housekeeping for Beginners', 'Tár', 'I Saw the TV Glow', 'Bottoms', 'Blue is the Warmest Colour', and 'Two of Us'.

Whew, The Handmaiden really is one of the most iconic sapphic films. Love this list!

Carol is forever my number one (probably because it has a very personal meaning to me) 😊 PS: great list! I want to re-watch those older films in it 👍

I’ve definitely seen Carol more than any other film on this list, that’s for sure. Glad you enjoyed!

Same )) Interestingly enough, I read the book first. I think the film is beautifully accurate in conveying the subdued ambiance of the book: muted colors, smooth flow, that music! And casting is 100% on point. I listen to The Price of Salt audiobook when I need to calm down. Know it by heart, I think, but it’s just so soothing!

Hi, cheers for the read! I'm not sure if you can edit or not but I want to mention a typo at the beginning of the second paragraph for The Children's Hour where it mentions Martha has been in love with Mary, when it should be Karen.

Thank you! I will go in and fix that. That would be a very different movie, haha.
